Rob Alonso photo
Rob Alonso

Rob joined Opus Trust Marketing in 2002, advancing through many roles including Account Director, Operations and IT Director; and Commercial Director, which have provided a solid platform from which to continue to grow the business.

With a background in direct marketing, Rob understands the transactional communications market inside out. He leads our Partnerships Development Program, developing relationships with third party organisations, identifying new market opportunities and realising our acquisition strategy. Rob sets the commercial strategy for the business and oversees all legal contracts.

Rob pioneered the introduction of an automated job control system, designed and developed entirely in-house; which drives all throughput within the production cycle. Championing quality to deliver client satisfaction, Auto JCS is considered a best-in-class solution within the industry.

Chief Operating Officer

Tony has formerly served on several boards as former CEO of Parseq and Group Managing Director of Communisis. He has an impressive track record of delivering business transformation, raising productivity and improving quality as he champions operational excellence.

Notably, Tony was accountable for all manufacturing, sales and strategic account activities across 14 UK locations with 2000 staff in his previous role. His responsibilities included Document Composition, Transactional Communications, Security Products, Direct Mail, Postal Services, Inbound mail, Data Scanning, Archiving, Operations, IT and Infrastructure.

As a highly qualified business leader, Tony brings a track record of reducing costs, and increasing customer service performance whilst enhancing overall business and shareholder profitability. Tony is an outstanding communicator, with a reputation for delivering results.

Sales and Marketing Director

Joining the board from Paragon ID, Richard brings over 25 years of sales and client services leadership experience. Richard has previously played a significant role in business transformation leading to profitable growth, and brings a wealth of experience to the Opus Trust board.

With over fifteen years’ experience in the printing industry, Richard has managed sales, marketing and client services functions across various sectors including security print, mail (transactional and marketing), packaging and print management. Crucially, Richard has extensive experience in data technology, transitioning paper-based products to both smart and RFID technology solutions.

Richard plays an important role in supporting the development of Opus Trust’s e-services portfolio.

Client Services Director

Katie joined Opus Trust in January 2015. Having had a successful client services career across multiple industries, Katie has a passion for client development and business growth. As Client Services Director, Katie has wide ranging responsibilities for Client Services, Production, IT, Document Services, OnDemand, Print Management, Projects and Marketing operations. Innovation and service development is key to Katie’s role as well as working with all department heads to ensure the day to day operation runs smoothly and in accordance with highly regulated business guidelines and strategies.

Working closely with Client and Sales teams, Katie develops growth strategies for the business based on the customer journey, emerging communications channels and clients’ business objectives.

Sales Director

Mark is responsible for sales strategy and leads a team of specialists with a detailed understanding of specific markets including the energy, water, financial services, construction and retail sectors. With an eye firmly on identifying customer needs he is proficient in the development of bespoke service solutions.

Mark has an impressive background in critical print, electronic communications and data acquisition; and is an expert in data driven solutions that drive customer engagement.

Christine holds extensive knowledge of organisational transformation, gained from a breadth of experience working in manufacturing and service organisations within engineering, defence, logistics and automotive environments.

With a passion for making a difference, Christine is an architect of training, development and coaching programmes. Christine engages the workforce to help deliver strong business performance and meet the organisations’ objectives whilst maximising profitability, introducing strategic models and aligning business tactics to the culture and values.

Finance Director

Simon supports the strategic and operational development of the business. With overall responsibility for the Finance, Human Resource and Compliance functions within Opus Trust Marketing, Simon is also Finance Director for the Opus Trust Group. A Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience, Simon has held a number of senior financial and management positions within wholesale, software technology and charitable environments.

Notably, Simon oversees the provision of grant funding for environmental, social welfare and arts projects through the Peter De Haan Charitable Trust.

Hayden holds 27 years’ experience in the printing industry, including eight years specifically focussed on transactional mail. With involvement in implementing some of the UK’s major client onboarding programmes involving both transition and transformation, Hayden has held senior roles for multiple printing businesses.

Hayden’s passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement are key to managing Opus Trust’s strategy and driving production efficiencies. Whether it’s managing our supplier relationships or providing outstanding communications for our customers, Hayden champions seamless delivery.

Head of Client Services

Rowena leads the Client Services team. Working alongside the Client Services Director to deliver business growth and effective client management, Rowena works with internal departments to improve processes and efficiencies to support service delivery. Rowena and her team have a record of delivering projects successfully and managing the on-boarding process.

Stephen manages the IT function, including strategic development focussing on process improvement to deliver faster, better solutions for customers. Stephen oversees IT compliance ensuring that effective service delivery is achieved. An advocate and implementer of well-structured agile teams, Stephen applies lean methodologies to gain maximum productivity.

Leading the development of our new collections service TrustPost® Direct and working in partnership with key delivery and postage organisations, Darren delivers best in class postage solutions.
